Our Physics Team at the Gilbert Office
Dr. Alex Li, Medical Physicist at Arizona Breast Cancer Specialists
Alex Li, PhD, DABR
Specialty - Medical Physicist
Dr. Li is a board certified medial physicist who graduated from the CAMPEP medical physics program at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He held the position of Assistant Professor in UCLA's Radiation Oncology Department prior to moving to the East Valley in 2006. He was the Director of Medical Physics and Radiation Safety Officer at Banner Desert Medial Center prior to joining Arizona Breast Cancer Specialists in April 2010.
Dr. Li has extensive knowledge and experience in radiation oncology technology and treatment modalities such as IGRT, IMRT/RapidArc with Varian Truebeam Linac, SRS/SBRT, and high dose rate (HDR).
Dr. Li enjoys working with the top-notch team of oncologists and physicists at ABCS in implementing the new advanced technologies and treatment procedures that ABCS has to offer for cancer patient care.
Dr. Dave Murray is a Medical Physicist at Arizona Breast Cancer Specialists
Dave Murray, PhD
Specialty - Medical Physicist, Postdoctoral Study
Dr. Murray obtained his Ph.D. in the medical physics radiotherapy track in May 2010 from the CAMPEP program at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio where Dr. Sadeghi was his advisor. His Ph.D. research project consisted of the removal of respiratory motion artifacts from cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) reconstructions, which he sees as a foundation for producing volumetric motion pictures that can reproduce all patient motion as it occurs during imaging rather than try and limit or suppress it.
Dave greatly values the opportunities Arizona Breast Cancer Specialists offers for study and observes some of the most advanced methods of radiotherapy treatment in the world. He believes that it is only on the 'front lines' of the battle against cancer can one truly learn where the state of the art is today and determine what has to happen next to advance it further.
Sonya Suzewitz is a Medical Dosimetrist at Arizona Breast Cancer Specialists.
Sonya Suzewitz, CMD
Specialty - Dosimetry
Memberships - ASRT, ARRT
Sonya Suzewitz has been involved in all aspects of Radiation Oncology from treating patients to dosimetry since 1975.
She has spent most of the last 15 years working on External Treatment Planning, Breast Brachytherapy and Prostate Implants. She enjoys the opportunity to provide state-of-the-art technology in a continually evolving field.
